Registration Problem 3/24/08 It has just come to my attention that there was an issue with the new registration functionality where the user was not properly receiving the validation email. If you or someone you know has recently registered, my apologies. The bug has been fixed and new registrations should be able to take place.

Brewlogs Are Here 3/21/08 The next of the major site functions is now available! I have created a weblog feature that I call 'brewlogs'. Now, any user can login to the site and create their own brewlog and maintain it as their own blog. Although the intention is the member's will use their brewlog as a sort of brew session journal, there are no limits. Use it however you desire. Each member will have control over their own brewlog. I even created a feature where you can edit the look and feel. Over time more features will be added. That's where you guys come in. The more feedback, the better I know how to enhance it. Thanks again to everyone's support thus far. I hope that together we can build the Recipe Tavern into a great homebrewer's resource.

Glossary Now Available 3/14/08 The Recipe Tavern has just made available a brewer's glossary. It contains roughly 200 terms relating to brewing and beer, and is still growing! Come visit the site, and you will see a new link on the navigation menu. Have any other brilliant ideas for the website? Feel free to post them in our forums.

The Recipe Tavern Is Open! 3/9/08 After several months of the Tavern is now open for business. The site had been stripped down, and entirely reworked from the ground up. Not only has it gotten a face-lift, but the entire back end system has been revamped to make the whole site operate smoothly and seemlessly - all to enhance the homebrewing experience. Since the site is still in BETA mode, some features (such as brewlogs) are not yet operable. Please be patient, in due time it will all be back, better than before. If you are an old member, you should have received a welcome email telling you how to reactivate your password. If not, you can register a new account below. Please, take a moment to leave a comment in the forums to let me know what you think of the new site. Any and all feedback is welcome.

What is the Recipe Tavern?

It is an ADVERTISEMENT-FREE homebrewer's haven. A place to research, store, and share recipes and other brewing knowledge with beer lovers. The goal is to have an intuitive, user-friendly, eye-appealing brewing resource free from pesky ads and unsightly distractions.

Why use Recipe Tavern?

First and foremost, there is NO COST. Second, it's an entirely user-driven platform. The concept, design, and functionality all are built to make it easy for the homebrewer. See something missing? Get involved to get it changed. The Tavern is possible only through the collaboration between users and publicans.

Who runs the Recipe Tavern?

Homebrewers, of course. This site is entirely funded, owned, and operated by a homebrewer looking to share beer recipes. You'll see the staff of this site referred to as publicans.

How can the Recipe Tavern be entirely free?

No cost to use, no advertisements? How can this be? Simple, the publicans are not in this to make money. It is premised on the goal of creating an open and devoted atmosphere to the brewing community. We're in it for the beer. With that said, we'll gladly accept any homebrew you want to ship our way.
